Steam Coal
Gr8tex Group (Pty) Ltd is a thermal coal commodity trader with more than 15 years of industry experience, connecting export-grade supply with international buyers.
Payment is by DLC or SBLC at sight from top banks, irrevocable and transferable. We allow four weeks from the day the LC is confirmed by our bank to move product from mine to port, with SGS quality and quantity inspection at loading.
Monthly allocation: 2 x 55,000 MT of RB1/RB2 via Mtwara Port, Tanzania; 50,000-75,000 MT of RB3 and of RB1 via Richards Bay MPT, South Africa. Loading ports: Richards Bay MPT, Maydon Wharf (Durban), Matola (Mozambique) and Mtwara (Tanzania).
No performance bond applies on trial orders; a 2% performance bond applies to 12-month contracts. For CFR transactions the LC is cashable against loading-port SGS results and shipping documents, so we advise CFR buyers to have a representative or independent inspector present at loading.
Thermal coal remains a core fuel for power stations and industrial users, and buyers need consistent calorific value, low moisture and predictable delivery. Our RB1, RB2 and RB3 grades cover the range most requested by power producers, with each shipment checked by SGS for quality and quantity at the loading port.
We offer FOB and CFR delivery from four ports in South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania, so buyers can match the loading port and Incoterm to their own shipping plans. Trial orders and 12-month contracts are available subject to approval.
